Training day in Tartu Business Village
The Students of 6…9th class from Puka Secondary School visited Tartu Business Village and took part of an instructive program called “Enterprising citizen.”
The Business Village had created a wonderful environment for the participants to study in. The students worked as a company, paid taxes for the country and compensated monthly fixed costs. Young entrepreneurs were forced to think of a best way to save up money and find new clients. All choices were possible.
The Business Village training game took place in an artificial city where plenty of companies and public authorities were represented. The players were divided into roles and each one of them the tasks was given. During the game, the student learned to notice and create connections between citizens, economy and society. Trained instructors guided each game.
The Business Village training game focused on enjoyable practice and effective learning experience. Each game was divided into different stages where the game was changing depending on the knowledge learned and analysis done. During the game, instructors asked guiding questions the players to make sure the players could find the connections between the game and a real life.
Why did we choose a training day like this?
Our school participates in ERASMUS+, a co-operation project between five nations and the topic is "Models of Entrepreneurship & Volunteering".
